From falling debris to dangerous machinery, construction accidents keep happening for a plethora of reasons. Because of the often dangerous nature of construction work, it is crucial for construction companies and employees to be aware of any hazards that are present on the job. Sadly, construction accidents have turned many lives upside down in San Bernadino, and throughout the rest of the state, which underlines the importance of job safety and prevention.
Officials are looking into a construction accident which recently occurred on La Cienaga Boulevard in West Hollywood. The accident, which is being investigated by the Division of Occupational Safety and Health, claimed the life of a construction worker. According to law enforcement, the worker was crushed by a crane and declared dead after he was taken to the hospital.
The construction site accident took place around 4 p.m., according to an L.A. County Fire Department official. La Cienaga Boulevard in West Hollwood was already shut down as a result of the construction work that was going on and the road closure persisted in the evening as investigators examined the deadly incident.
When someone is killed in a construction accident, their family members may be completely unsure of how to handle the situation. For many, nothing can make up for the loss they have experienced and there is lifelong emotional pain. However, people in this position should closely review every option that is on the table and some may want to think about turning to a legal professional for help.
